As a Specialist for E-Commerce you will get to know Ernsting’s family especially well, as you will have the opportunity to get involved in many different processes and departments. Are you versatile, and do you like analysing things? Then join us and help shape Ernsting’s family.

During your apprenticeship you can expect a variety of training assignments in our Digital Business, our E-Commerce Product Management, our Goods Management, our Logistics and our E-Commerce IT departments.

WHAT AWAITS YOU IN YOUR APPRENTICESHIP

OUR DIGITAL BUSINESS

Learn all about our digital business, where everything revolves around our online shop and our customer app. You will find out how products make into our online shop, help design individual product pages and product worlds, analyse key figures, and target our customers with digital marketing. Gain exciting insights into all of our teams so that you understand the big picture.

READY FOR ONLINE RETAIL

Whether it’s digital business and e-commerce purchasing or goods management and logistics, which you will learn all about during your apprenticeship, analytical thinking and an understanding of commerce are always helpful. We want to foster these skills during your apprenticeship and round them off with sales knowledge so that you will be ready for all the processes in online retail.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

In addition to your apprenticeship, we also support you with your personal development. You will learn how to cooperate and communicate with colleagues and external partners in a trusting way, how to organise your tasks, and how to act independently and in a future-oriented way. Your personal development is also complemented by seminars, smaller projects and events.

HAVE YOUR SAY, PARTICIPATE, SHAPE THINGS

Your ideas and opinions are always welcome. We look forward to discussing with you and hearing new input from you! So that you can contribute directly at Ernsting’s family, you will also be given your own small projects and learn to take on an increasing degree of responsibility for your tasks. You can also help shape your apprenticeship individually and together with other apprentices.

After your apprenticeship, there are many paths you can take in your future career. When you finish your apprenticeship, we will take the time to look at what the next steps in your career could be together with you.

Many of our apprentices want to stay with us and continue learning after their apprenticeship. We will also be happy to support you here!

FACTS AT A GLANCE

DURATION OF YOUR APPRENTICESHIP

Three years (under certain conditions a reduction is possible, we will be happy to assess on an individual basis)

APPRENTICESHIP LOCATIONS

Headquarters (Hugo-Ernsting-Platz 1, 48653 Coesfeld-Lette) and Ludwig-Erhard vocational college in Münster (one to two days per week)

WORKING HOURS AND HOLIDAYS

37.5 hours per week and 30 holidays per year

START OF APPRENTICESHIP

Start in August, next apprenticeship start: 2028

HOW THE APPRENTICESHIP IS STRUCTURED

In the first two years of your apprenticeship, you will learn all about the different areas of the world of e-commerce at Ernsting’s family. We will draw up an individual assignments plan for you which naturally takes your ideas into account.

In the third year of your apprenticeship you’ll spend your specialisation year in a department that you particularly enjoyed working in during the first two years of your training. Drawing on your personal views, your feedback interviews after each departmental assignment and the advice from our training and development team, we will find the perfect area for you and the third year of your apprenticeship.

You will also learn all the necessary technical and background knowledge that you will need to work as a Specialist for E-Commerce. Your apprenticeship will be rounded off with a variety of internal seminars, events and workshops.

SUPPORT DURING YOUR APPRENTICESHIP

MENTORS FROM THE APPRENTICE COMMUNITY

In the first year of your apprenticeship you have a second year mentor who is there to help and advise you. You therefore have a mentor who was in a similar situation to you last year.

TRAINING STAFF IN OUR DEPARTMENTS

In every department there is at least one trainer who is there for you throughout your apprenticeship!

Do you have questions about your work, or maybe you don’t quite understand a task? Not a problem – on the contrary! In addition to your trainer, your colleagues will be happy to help you at any time.
