As a Warehouse Specialist or Warehouse Logistics Specialist in Schwarzenbek, you will learn all about the logistics processes at Ernsting’s family. Would you like to really get stuck in and make sure that the right goods reach our stores on right time? Then join us and help shape Ernsting’s family. You can expect a varied apprenticeship surrounding the goods flow at our regional centre: From accepting goods containers at the port of Hamburg to onward distribution to our distribution centres, to picking for our stores in northern Germany, through to dispatch.

WHAT AWAITS YOU IN YOUR APPRENTICESHIP

OUR GOODS JOURNEYS

Our Logistics department is responsible for deliveries to all our stores in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. Here you can help to ensure that everything is in the right place at the right time. Our regional centre in Schwarzenbek is responsible for the distribution of the containers from the port of Hamburg and deliveries to our stores in northern Germany.

A LOGISTICS MASTERWORK

You will experience our logistical masterworks live, and learn how we manage to get our fashion goods to each of our 2,000 stores on time, every two days.

A PLACE WITH A BUZZ

Our logistics are always buzzing: whether it’s loading or unloading trucks or packing the goods for our stores, there’s always something happening.

ON THE MOVE

We use our forklift trucks and industrial trucks to cover the distances and reach the heights in our regional centre. It certainly adds up to a few kilometres a day.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

In addition to your apprenticeship, we also support you with your personal development. You will learn how to cooperate and communicate with colleagues and external partners in a trusting way and how to act independently and in a future-oriented way. Your personal development is also complemented by seminars, smaller projects and events.

HAVE YOUR SAY, PARTICIPATE, SHAPE THINGS

Your ideas and opinions are always welcome. We look forward to discussing with you and hearing new input from you! So that you can contribute directly at Ernsting’s family, you will also be given your own small projects and learn to take on an increasing degree of responsibility for your tasks. You can also help shape your apprenticeship individually and together with other apprentices.

After your apprenticeship, there are many paths you can take in your future career. When you finish your apprenticeship, we will take the time to look at what the next steps in your career could be together with you.

Regional Centre (Industriestraße 29, 21493 Schwarzenbek) and Friedrich-List-Schule in Lübeck (one to two days per week)

After an apprenticeship as a Warehouse Specialist, it is possible to upgrade to a Warehouse Logistics Specialist

START OF APPRENTICESHIP

Start in August, next apprenticeship start: 2026

WORKING HOURS AND HOLIDAYS

37.5 hours per week and 30 holidays per year

HOW THE APPRENTICESHIP IS STRUCTURED

During your apprenticeship, you will learn all about the logistics processes at our regional centre.  You will be involved in all the ins and outs right from the start and be at the heart of all the action. You will also learn all the necessary technical and background knowledge that you will need to work as Warehouse Specialist and/or Warehouse Logistics Specialist at vocational college. The apprenticeship is rounded off with regular feedback meetings as well as internal workshops and events.

Do you have questions about your work, or maybe you don’t quite understand a task? Not a problem – on the contrary! In addition to your trainer, your colleagues will be happy to help you at any time.

SCHOOL LEAVING CERTIFICATE

You should have a secondary school leaving certificate (equivalent to a Hauptschule or Realschulabschluss in Germany)
