As a Warehouse Specialist or Warehouse Logistics Specialist in Coesfeld-Lette, you will learn all about the logistics processes at Ernsting’s family. Would you like to really get stuck in and make sure that the right goods reach the store and our customers at the right time? Then join us and help shape Ernsting’s family. 

During your apprenticeship, you can expect a wide range of training assignments surrounding the flow of goods in our distribution centre, from the receipt and labelling of the goods to the order picking and dispatch. You will also learn about the logistical processes for our online shop during your apprenticeship. With this knowledge, you will soon be able to tell your friends and family exactly what happens in our online shop after you click on the “place order” button.

WHAT AWAITS YOU IN YOUR APPRENTICESHIP

OUR GOODS JOURNEYS

Our Logistics department is responsible for deliveries to all our stores in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands as well as orders in our online shop. You will learn all about our highly complex logistical processes and help ensure that everything is in the right place at the right time.

A LOGISTICS MASTERWORK

You will experience our logistical masterworks live, and learn how we manage to get our fashion goods to each of our 2,000 stores on time, every two days.

A PLACE WITH A BUZZ

Our logistics are always buzzing: whether it’s loading or unloading trucks, packing the goods for our stores or putting orders together for customers, there’s always something happening.

ON THE MOVE

We use our forklift trucks and industrial trucks to cover the distances and reach the heights in our logistics centre. It certainly adds up to a few kilometres a day.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

In addition to your apprenticeship, we also support you with your personal development. You will learn how to cooperate and communicate with colleagues and external partners in a trusting way and how to act independently and in a future-oriented way. Your personal development is also complemented by seminars, smaller projects and events.

HAVE YOUR SAY, PARTICIPATE, SHAPE THINGS

Your ideas and opinions are always welcome. We look forward to discussing with you and hearing new input from you! So that you can contribute directly at Ernsting’s family, you will also be given your own small projects and learn to take on an increasing degree of responsibility for your tasks. You can also help shape your apprenticeship individually and together with other apprentices.

Distribution centre (Industriestraße 14a, 48653 Coesfeld-Lette) and Richard-von-Weizsäcker vocational college in Dülmen (one to two days per week)

START OF APPRENTICESHIP

Start in August, next apprenticeship start: 2025

WORKING HOURS AND HOLIDAYS

37.5 hours per week and 30 holidays per year

HOW THE APPRENTICESHIP IS STRUCTURED

In the first two years of your apprenticeship, you will learn about life in the different departments at Ernsting’s family. We will draw up an individual assignments plan for you which naturally takes your ideas into account. 

In the third year of your apprenticeship you’ll spend your specialisation year in a department that you particularly enjoyed working in during the first two years of your training. Drawing on your personal views, your feedback interviews after each departmental assignment and the advice from our training and development team, we will find the perfect department for you and the third year of your apprenticeship.

In the apprenticeship as a Warehouse Specialist, the time spent in the departments is shortened to one and a half years, so that you complete your specialist focus in your last six months.

You will also learn all the necessary technical and background knowledge that you will need to work as Warehouse Specialist and/or Warehouse Logistics Specialist at vocational college. Your apprenticeship will be rounded off with a variety of internal seminars, events and workshops.

MENTORS FROM THE APPRENTICE COMMUNITY

In the first year of your apprenticeship you have a second year mentor who is there to help and advise you. You therefore have a mentor who was in a similar situation to you last year. 

TRAINING STAFF IN OUR DEPARTMENTS

In every department there is at least one trainer who is there for you throughout your apprenticeship!

Do you have questions about your work, or maybe you don’t quite understand a task? Not a problem – on the contrary! In addition to your trainer, your colleagues will be happy to help you at any time.
